Instant karma

I’m not sure if this is a start-up or an established business, but either way, they have an interesting product line. Their cameras fall under the heading of “Coming Attractions” but the software caught my eye. This is the second time I’ve seen a machine vision company promoting the use of the Python language – so clearly it’s something I need to learn more about.

And Axtel seem to have read my mind because right here on their website is a link where I can download Python, and here are a couple of tutorials on how to use it.

Putting useful content like this on a web site, and not even requiring registration for access, is win-win for both the machine vision user/web browser and the vendor. The vendor gets to promote his wares by giving the world something useful and the world becomes a better place, (well hopefully.)
