Interesting to see that Point Grey have launched a 1.3 Mp USB camera (the Chameleon.) I wonder why?
At $375 the pricing is very attractive, especially for that resolution, but few machine vision people see USB as an industrial imaging standard. For an explanation, let me point you once more to The Imaging Source blog.
In machine vision as in life, I think you get what you pay for.
