Another post about Microscan

It was in October 2008 that Microscan completed the purchase of Siemens’ machine vision and lighting business. Since then they’ve been rather quiet, presumably digesting their acquisition, but just the other day I noticed they’ve relaunched their smart camera product.

Formerly known as the Hawkeye 1600T, the
Visionscape® smart camera seems to come with a reasonable set of tools that includes OCV and OCR as well as bar and Datamatrix code reading.

It doesn’t look like a sexy product, but it might be worth checking out for less complex applications.
