Regular readers, especially those of you who read the “Comments” will know the name “Spencer Luster.” Spencer is one heck of a nice guy who runs Light Works, a business specializing in lenses for really difficult machine vision tasks, and he is a regular commenter here.
Spencer has most graciously agreed to share some of his thoughts and expertise on these pages, so from time to time I will be posting concise articles by him on various aspects of optics and machine vision imaging. Of course, this is not an altruistic deal on either his part or mine. I hope that his insights will lead to more traffic for MV4U, while Spencer would like to think that some readers will click through to his website. To be frank, it’s an experiment for both of us, so I welcome any feedback or suggestions you may have, either by email or via the “Comments.”
