Crack open the Bubbly, Andy

If you haven’t already heard, let me share the news. Andy Wilson, Editor of our industry bible, Vision Systems Design magazine, has been honored with the AIA’s 2013 Achievement Award.

Now I don’t wish to denigrate previous winners, but this is truly well-deserved. As the press release notes, Andy has spent more than 30 years reporting on the machine vision industry. That’s about as long as there’s been a machine vision industry!

But I think Andy does far more than just report. He has promoted the technology and it’s benefits, and made it accessible to many, many people. Thanks to Andy, Vision Systems Design is one of the very few trade magazines I actually read from cover to cover.

Congrats Andy, you deserve it!
