“Computer vision” is a broad term; the expression “machine vision” narrows it down somewhat, but the people we’re talking to probably don’t care. We’re talking to the people who use vision technology to solve problems, not those who develop algorithms or invest in the start-up companies. Our audience is the men and women for whom a vision system is just one more tool in their toolbox. We’re talking about the engineers and technicians who install, program and maintain vision systems in manufacturing plants.
Of course, everyone is welcome here. Whether you’re approaching machine vision from the security perspective or you want to learn about the companies involved in, and growing, the industry, you’re welcome, so come on in. But be aware that this is where we’re going to talk about the tools that are available in our “Vision Toolbox”, and how to use them.
And if that’s your bag, then please check back often, and let us know what you’d like to hear about.
