I know I do. But a word of caution comes from Ken Scofield of Cognex. Replying to a posting on the Cognex SmartList question forum, Ken comments, “As for the Advantech displays, please note that at last count there were only one or two models that are capable of running In-Sight Explorer software. Anyone considering running ISE on an Advantech should carefully consider the limitations therein.”
To reiterate for anyone who reads faster than they comprehend, (which includes me,) the Cognex Insight Explorer software does not play well with Advantech PCs. If you’re thinking of using such hardware in your new app you may want to check for compatibility issues.
Don’t say you haven’t been warned.
