Vision System Rescue

Integro Technologies is another machine vision integrator I’ve recently stumbled across. Based in North Carolina, they present themselves as a very professional outfit. According to their web site, they offer a couple of standard products – for label and tube/wire inspection – and have done quite a number of special purpose applications.

What particularly caught my eye was this
offer to, “[Adjust] an existing systems parameters to improve performance …” which I take to mean, “If your vision system doesn’t work we’ll take a look and let you know if it can be rescued.”

Given how frequently we hear that well known refrain, “The vision system isn’t working,” I‘m surprised we don’t see more companies offering this type of service. Diagnosing a problem will not be cheap, but as an inspection system can represent a large capital investment, it seems it might be cost-effective to at least get an expert opinion on whether an under-performing system can be saved.
