A rising tide lifts all boats

Let me introduce a new (to me, anyway) manufacturer/vendor of LED lighting for machine vision, Falcon LED Lighting.

Germany-based Falcon offer a broad spectrum of products, (sorry, couldn’t resist that pun!) at prices that are … well to my eyes, typical of similar products in the market. That’s not to imply they are in any way inferior, it’s just that, to be honest, they look like every other industrial quality LED machine vision light.

So as Falcon aren’t competing aggressively on price, and their web site makes no mention of any particularly novel design features, I have to conclude that the only way they can carve out a niche is if the market as a whole is growing.

They say a rising tide lifts all boats, so that should be good news for all of us in this industry.
