Machine vision videos

I’m what you might call a visual learner – show me and I’ll remember – so I think video is a great way to promote machine vision products and technology. That’s why I was pleased to see that Microscan has updated the machine vision area of their web site with a video library.

These are not Hollywood blockbusters, but then that’s what Netflix is for. They are however effective demonstrations of Microscan’s Visionscape software and NER lighting products. Ok, I would have liked a little more explanation of what the lighting actually does – and maybe some screenshots showing the results achieved – but hey, video takes time to shoot and edit. I just hope it’s the start of a trend towards greater use of moving pictures for product promotion and education.
