If you read my last post you may have noticed that I’ve created a new word. This word is “visionware”, (quick – register that domain!) and “visionware” is a contraction of vision hardware and software.
To be frank, I just got tired of typing “vision hardware and software” every time I wanted to discuss the combination of lights, cameras, lenses and software that forms the heart of every vision system, so in future I’m just going with this one word. I think it encapsulates the key components and I can’t imagine it causing any confusion, so from here on, “visionware” it will be.
