By invisible I mean of course that it lies outside of the visible region of the electromagnetic spectrum, specifically in the infra-red and X-ray wavebands.
And what leads me to this conjecture?
Well buried away amongst the excellent third quarter financial results was a comment that the Government of Ontario is providing some support for R&D which, “…will allow us to realize our R&D driven plans for business growth …in areas such as infrared and x-ray imaging.”
Of course, this doesn’t mean that they’re giving up on visible imaging: I’m sure that will continue to grow, but it’s intriguing news nevertheless.
