I don’t know Ken Chapman but I have a feeling we might get along. According to his fabulously diverse blog he’s developing an ultra-inexpensive vision system – to observe Mount St. Helens. (That’s gotta need a pretty large field of view!)
I’m fascinated by both the hardware he’s using and the machine vision software he plans to run – KamVu – and shall be checking in frequently to see how his project progresses. Expect updates from me on the subject.

B Grey,
Thanks for the link. By the way, a couple of buddies and I are the KamVu guys, too. We just got sick of paying too much money for algorithms that were invented before 1700. I will be checking your blog regularly. You are doing a great job!
Ken
