I'm a fan of Andy Wilson and his regular articles in Vision System Design, but this piece on specular reflection had me scratching my head.
What he's saying, I think, is that inspecting shiny surfaces is difficult, but those clever chaps (all Brits are 'chaps') at the University of West England, are figuring out some new techniques.
You might recall that some time ago I discussed their shape-from-shading work, so it should be obvious that the Smiths of UWE are people to watch.
